Oops this should be an image my friend!

Queenslake exhibition.

It’s really nice when artists & designers gather together and create artwork in the name of charity, even nicer when they exhibit in a spiffy space such as the 1000£bend, and nicer still when it involves one of the most exquisite forms of printing – the good ‘ol letterpress.

Which was exactly what I was admiring last Friday; in light of recent floods in Queensland, the good people at The Hungry Workshop have lent their letterpress skills to create an exhibition featuring a range of renowned illustrators and designers, which will donate proceeds raised to The Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal. Prints will be sold for $50, and are also available online if you’d like to contribute.

Coinciding with the exhibition was the launch of the Six Years Later magazine, which made for a double-exhibition = double the nice-ness! (Please excuse the blurriness of the photos; the dark-lit, worn-warehouse space made for an awesome atmosphere, but not so awesome lighting for photos unfortunately!)
