Science Snippets at Monash.

The Faculty of Science at Monash was looking to promote a regular session for students (and everyone) where they can hear about what science researchers are up to in accessible way. We needed to create artwork which would work in a poster, powerpoint, facebook and web format. And if you could imagine, we’d need to update the artwork per event. Click here to read more.

200 jars of granola and a whole lotta love.

Generally, I’ll use any excuse not to market Kish+Co. I don’t like paying for advertising space. I don’t see the point in having our logo among a sponsors list. While we send out e-newsletters, I make sure ours are without jargon and boredom. Read more about our latest marketing venture, or, learn how to make granola!

Come Fly With Me Event Collateral.

The Chandrabhanu Bharatalaya Dance Academy hosted a charity event called Come Fly With Me. Knowing that our client was working on the planning, Kish+Co put their hands up to work on the design and ideas for more promotion.

RAMP Carbon Brochure Design

We recently worked with RAMP Carbon to design brochures and an exhibition display system for CarbonExpo Australasia 2012. The branding was dual: RAMP Carbon and Eneco. This meant incorporating style guides, colours and value sets from both companies. In general, it’s all clean, corporate, fresh design. Here are some of the concepts.

Brand Design for Red Ox

A lovely friend and great client, Lisa, recently asked us to work on the design for a new brand called Red Ox. The brief was; young, pub, bars, meaty. There are so many excellent food identities out there, it was key that this one didn’t get lost in the crowd. Have a read about the process and then check out where we’ve been eating lately.

American Institute of Graphic Arts Post

It’s an honour to have connected with David Airey. I started following his site in ’08 and I never thought we would be introduced. I’ve since shared stories and he’s captured them in his new book – Work for Money, Design for Love.  Have a read here.

Social Media Trends Night

We recently held a social media trends night which focused on savvy Australian business examples that are doing well in the social media environment and offered attendees the chance to ask questions and get advice from social media strategy geek, Kat Cazanis from Nitty Gritty Digital. Held at Abbotsford Convent (thanks to Kat who knows lovely people + made things happen!) for a maximum of 20 people, the U-shaped setting made for the ideal networking opportunity as well. Click here to download the takeaway pdf and here to get a snippet from the night.

Identity design for Pack A Perfect Party

The lovely Amey approached us to work on the design collateral of her business, Pack A Perfect Party. It is the complete solution for a designer party, from the confetti thru to the napkins and down to the red carpet. We’ve wrapped up the identity and we wanted to show you the process work and the final outcome. Click here to read more.

Tender Design

We often work on tender designs and corporate social responsibility reports, each custom made for our clients. Our pieces stand well apart from other submissions and in many cases, our clients have won tenders (yay!). Its quite a process and we generally with the our clients from the very start, sourcing relevant images, creating concepts that are applicable to the viewer (it’s really important that we understand the branding for both the tender submitter as well as the tender receiver and work with the both in mind). The process often involves liaising with a copy writer, a printer and several series of edits. Done right, a tender should be an easy read, invokes a positive feel and a clear understanding of the offerings. We’ve included a few here to give you an idea of just how professional your tenders can look. Click here to read more.

Branding and a publication for eWorks

We’ve recently completed the branding for eWorks brand called ‘E-Portfolio’s for Learner Pathways’. Starting off with a corporate approach, we ended up with a logo and publication that wasn’t only great to work on, but turned out to be (in a good way) concept designs we had least expected to have used for eWorks. Website Design for a Finance firm

We recently worked with Koustas+Co, an accounting firm in Melbourne for their website. Click here to read about the process and see more of the outcomes. Alongside their website, we ended up creating a mail out design, facebook page, flyers, envelopes, custom folders and more recently, a twitter page design. Phew! Part of the talent team was Melbourne photographer, Darren Lunny, introduced to us by the team at Koustas. www.koustas.com.au

Logo Design for a Melbourne Cafe

Thanks to lovely Trudy Schuringa, we got off to a great start designing Rhimini’s identity (featuring Agnes’ sweet illustrations), signage, postcards and loyalty cards. We’ve also done branding for more food related businesses like Blossom Baking, GWF, Mildura Fresh and The Catering Company.

How we created Paul De Dassel’s Marketing Campaign

Ever wonder what goes behind the scenes? From the first meeting to the final posters, this post shares the story. A fine collaboration between Trudy Schuringa, Belinda Suzette and the designers at Kish+Co, its been laughs and a little bit of craziness with this comedian.

Identity Design for Carbon Crop

We recently worked with the team at Ramp Carbon on a new entity they have formed called Carbon Crop.  Focusing on the identity design and rolling out a brochure as well as an e-newsletter design, we’ve had our hands full. The logo design process involved a meeting over tofu and spring rolls and a huge image library for a mood board. Agnes, one of our designers, worked on a colour palette and strong shapes to work for a male dominant carbon industry targeting a mix of corporate clients as well as farmers in the Australian outback.
